For The Travelers Life and Annuity Group We helped with Elaboration
(Requirements, Analysis, and Design) on the Annuity Strategy project.
Initially we led extensive JAD sessions to define user requirements. Participants in the JAD sessions included stakeholders including Vice President level project sponsors, the technical staff, and most importantly to a representative group of end users and their supervisors. Also present in a sampling of the JAD sessions, because the project was highly visible and followed a previous projects failure, were auditors from both The Travelers Group and its parent company CityCorp. The output of the JAD sessions was a completed Use Case model created in UML with the Rational Rose and Visio 2000 Enterprise tools. The secondary responsibility in this phase was teaching Use Case analysis techniques to Travelers staff and helping Travelers implement the RUP. |
